Sri Navagraha Homam — frequently asked questions
When should Navagraha Homam be performed?
During challenging dasha or transit periods (such as Sade Sati), before important events, or once a year for general well-being.
Do you need our birth chart?
Birth details help Sri Shyam Sharma focus the sankalpam on specific grahas, but the homam can be performed without a full chart.
Is Navagraha Homam the same as Navagraha Pooja?
Navagraha Pooja is worship without fire. The homam adds the fire ritual and is usually recommended for doshas.
Can it be combined with other homams?
Yes — commonly with Ganapati Homam, Ayushya Homam or Gruhapravesham.
